چکیده
Leprosy, an important infectious disease in humans caused by Mycobacterium leprae (Mle), remains endemic many countries. Of note, the pathogen cannot be cultured vitro. In addition, Mle grows optimally at 30 to 33℃, while other mycobacteria grow 37 42℃. The molecular bases of these characteristics, as well mechanisms remain unknown. Consequently, analysis growth and survival is urgently needed develop novel therapies, such rapid, simple, specific methods detect infection against leprosy. this study, we functionally characterized vitro Mle-DNA gyrase promote bacterial survival. From our result, propose that DNA makes a significant contribution survival, one few clinically validated targets for antimicrobial agents.

Fibroblast Growth Factor-1 vs. Fibroblast Growth Factor-2 in Ischemic Skin Flap Survival in a Rat Animal Model
BACKGROUND One of the main challenges in skin flap surgery is tissue ischemia and following necrosis. The present study compares the effects of fibroblast growth factors 1 and 2 on increasing cutaneous vasculature, improving ischemia, and preventing distal necrosis in ischemic skin flaps in rat model. METHODS Thirty rats were allocated into 3 groups (n=10) and 2×8 cm dorsal rando...
متن کاملThe C-terminal part of microcin B is crucial for DNA gyrase inhibition and antibiotic uptake by sensitive cells.
Microcin B (McB) is a ribosomally synthesized antibacterial peptide. It contains up to nine oxazole and thiazole heterocycles that are introduced posttranslationally and are required for activity. McB inhibits the DNA gyrase, a validated drug target. Previous structure-activity analyses indicated that two fused heterocycles located in the central part of McB are important for antibacterial acti...
متن کاملCould glucose be a proaging factor?
There is an ever-increasing scientific interest for the interplay between cell's environment and the aging process. Although it is known that calorie restriction affects longevity, the exact molecular mechanisms through which nutrients influence various cell signalling/modulators of lifespan remain a largely unresolved issue. Among nutrients, glucose constitutes an evolutionarily stable, precio...

Could a neurological disease be a part of Mozart's pathography?
As expected, since we recently celebrated the 250th anniversary of birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, there has been again a renewal of interest in his short but intensive life, as well as in the true reason of his untimely dead. Mozart lived and died in time when the medical knowledge was based mostly on subjective observations, without the established basics of standardized medical terminology...
